Mayor Nenshi Reads: Lucy Tries Short Track

In this latest edition of Mayor Nenshi Reads, Mayor Nenshi joins with students from Connaught School at their "It's a Crime Not to Read" pizza party!

Lucy Tries Short Track is a new book by Calgary author and broadcaster Lisa Bowes and illustrated by James Hearne. Like her previous book, Lucy Tries Luge, it follows a young girl as she explores a new sport.

It's a Crime Not to Read is a great partnership between the Calgary Public Library and the Calgary Police Service that has police officers reading to Calgary school kids. They made an exception for Mayor Nenshi on this one.

We're releasing this reading just in time for Calgary to host the World Allround Speed Skating Championships held at the Olympic Oval on March 7-8, 2015. Check out the world's best speed skaters including some hometown heroes!
